Blue Cat (1998)

BlueCat was recorded in 1997 and 1998. Why such a name? Well, I don't even know. Maybe because of "Blues" and the Crazy Cat I got at that time. It seemed to like music and it was about to learn guitar... Have a look by yourself!

The Recording

All tracks were recorded on my first Computer with a SoundBlaster AWE64 Gold. All non-guitar tracks are MIDI tracks rendered by the SoundBlaster Soundfont engine (the card could load up to 4 MB soundfonts). Some were recorded with a MIDI Keyboard, and others (like Drums tracks) were written with the mouse...

Recording 'Blue Cat' at home.

My guitar gear at that time was pretty simple : an Ibanez RG450 plugged into a Boss GX700 effects processor. You can also hear a Jim Dunlop Cry Baby Wah wah pedal on some songs. If you own a GX700 and you are interested in the sounds I used, you can download my GX700 patches on the download page.
